Survivor Series is here! Every year without fail I get excited about Survivor Series, and every year without fail it ends up being a disappointing pay per view. I blame nostalgia for making believe Survivor Series was the best thing ever as a child. And maybe it was pretty good in it’s first few years. But the Survivor Series of now is not like that of the past. The attraction of seeing an unlikely combination of wrestlers teaming together to take on another group of unlikely teammates is a novelty well worn itself out. We see it every week on Raw, and it makes RAW fun to watch, but kind of makes Survivor Series meaningless. But like I said earlier, that doesn’t stop me getting excited about it every year. Maybe I am an optimist. Who knew?
*Note to self: Piledrive nostalgia.

Anywho, it’s pointless predictions time!

No, Mr. Woods. It’s predictin’ time. I just said that.
Kofi Kingston vs. The Miz

Winner: Heel The Miz 2.0

The show is kicking off with the guy who’s got skillz all of the day (if losing is a skill, that is) and recently de-faced (Ewh! That sounds pooey) The Miz.
My pick for this one is The Miz because Kofi’s unfortunate reign of losing isn’t showing any signs of letting up. And Heel The Miz 2.0’s reign of heeling has just begun, and I expect it to begin with a win.
Curtis Axel vs. Big E Langston (Intercontinental Championship)

Winner: Not Curtis Axel, obviously.

Man, why didn’t they wait until Survivor Series to give the belt to Big E, instead of giving it to him on RAW? Axel could have gotten himself DQ’d in their match on RAW, or run away from the ring, screaming in fear at what he saw sneak out from under Big E’s slightly revealing ring gear. As it stands, Axel doesn’t stand a chance. But it should at least be a competitive match.
Cody Rhodes, Goldust, Rey Mysterio and The Usos vs. The Shield and The Real Americans (Elimination)

Winners: The Mysteri-Uso Brothers

I’d like to see Shield of America get the win, but with Rey’s recent return, I see this one going in favour of the good guys. Don’t expect to see Rey in too much action, though. Word is he may have come back a tad too early and isn’t ready to do much in the ring.
*Note to Antonio Cesaro: Do not Giant Swing Rey. Anyone but Rey. His knees might fall off.
**Note to Reigns: Spear everything!!!
AJ Lee, Tamina Snuka, Summer Rae, Kaitlyn, Rosa Mendes, Aksana and Alicia Fox vs. JoJo Offerman, Eva Marie, Natalya, The Funkadactlys and The Bellas (Elimination)

Winners: Team E! Total Divas!

CM Punk and Daniel Bryan vs. Luke Harper and Erick Rowan

Winners: The Harper Family

This is the match I am looking forward to the most. A lot of great wrestlers (Except for one. I’m looking at you Rowan) involved in this one. I’m guessing Bray will distract CM Beard to get his guys a cheap win. Nothing too decisive. This is a feud that’s just getting started and I expect it to roll on for at least one more pay per view.
John Cena vs. Alberto Del Rio (World Heavyweight Championship)

Winner: Nobody is winner when it involves these two wrestling eachother

And now for the match I am second least excited about (First least being the main event). How many times have we seen this one before? It feels like about thirty thousand times. Maybe more. There’s no beating John Cena at the moment. His injured arm only gives him more strength. I like Alberto, but he hasn’t got a chance against the recently returned, Extra Super-Cena.
There could be one saving grace for this match, that is Damien Sandow. I’d like to see him get involved in this match in some way. If anything, it will make it more interesting than it’s looking to be.
Randy Orton vs. Big Show (WWE Championship)

Winner: Oh, is this show still on?

The winner is Daniel Bryan.
